Great Geographers

 There have been many famous people throughout the centuries who have found Geography to be a valuable subject.

Here are just a few of them - and if you click on the side bars, you'll find some new ones in the making at Withernsea High School.

Michael Jordan - the world famous basketball star from the USA studied Geography at College

 Mick Aston - presenter of Time Team graduated in Geography from Birmingham University

    Lisa Gallagher - the weather presenter on BBC Look North got her degree in Geography from Hull University.

Nick Hodson - the drummer and chief song-writer with Sheffield band 'Kaiser Chiefs' got his degree in Geography from Leeds University.

It must be something about 'Geography' and successful Rock Bands - as Simon Rix, bass player with 'Kaiser Chiefs' also got a degree in Geography (and maths) from Leeds University.

  And a future King - Prince William - graduated in  Geography from St. Andrew's University. Obviously a good career choice.
